Matt Kilmartin

Matt Kilmartin is passionate about entrepreneurship and developing technology to help brands in their digital transformation... so much so that he has dedicated 20 years of his career working for innovative software and data companies. He has held a variety of executive leadership roles at Salesforce, Krux, and Akamai.

One of his most meaningful achievements was to lead Krux's go-to-market efforts from less than $1 million in revenue to an $800 million acquisition by Salesforce in less than 5 years.

Today, in the face of massive disruption that is impacting digital marketing, Matt's goal is to help brands enable privacy safe data collaboration that respects consumers, while also evolving their data driven marketing efforts.

Vivek Vaidya

More than anything, Vivek loves to build industry-leading technology companies in enterprise software, data management, analytics, and machine learning/AI.

And with his background and education, he is well suited for the task. He has co-founded and held leadership positions in Super{set}, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Krux (acquired by Salesforce), and was CTO of Rapt (acquired by Microsoft). He's also co-author of Data Driven: Harnessing Data and AI to Reinvent Customer Engagement.

From Habu's San Francisco HQ, Vivek is committed to helping customers ease a pain that is related to deriving intelligence from data that is sitting in distributed environments.

After working closely together with Matt Kilmartin at Akamai, Matt (Karasick) worked with the Krux team as a consultant, where he helped create Krux for Marketers.

Matt believes that, when done correctly and with sustainable mutual value as the measuring stick, interests between consumers and companies are always aligned.

Roopak’s long career includes leading engineering teams to create a platform for employee education and DEI at Eskalera, cloud-based data management services for Salesforce and Krux (acquired by Salesforce), inventory management and price optimization solutions for Microsoft, and ad inventory and yield solutions for Rapt (acquired by Microsoft).

Alice is responsible for driving some of Habu’s most important growth initiatives, including GTM strategy, maximizing value for partners and building relationships with strategic consultancies, systems integrators, and agencies. Alice works from the Habu office in San Francisco, California.

Specifically, Tim has provided advisory services across adtech, martech, CDP, and data strategy. He was also first in-market commercial lead for mParticle and Country Manager DACH for Krux (now Salesforce).

By overseeing Habu’s global growth strategy and execution, Tim is expanding Habu’s international sales organization in Europe and ensuring delivery of Habu’s essential breakthrough technology and end-to-end solutions.

Some of the prestigious companies he has worked with are The Trade Desk, Merkle, Acxiom, and FedEx.

From his office in Memphis, you’ll find him developing strategic partnerships that help Habu expand into new verticals, support more use cases, and continue to deliver actionable and privacy-safe data collaboration via data clean rooms.

Our four founders

Our four founders are veterans in the marketing technology industry: Tom Chavez, Vivek Vaidya, Matt Kilmartin, and Mike Moreau.

Tom Chavez and Vivek Vaidya, are also co-founders of super{set}, which played a tremendous role in launching and growing Habu.

Habu is a great example of the super{set} model in practice; the company would not be this far along if it had followed a conventional venture-backed path.

Matt Kilmartin is the CEO and co-founder of Habu, and Tom and Vivek remain actively involved.

Mike Moreau serves as Habu’s COO and co-founder. Tom, Vivek, Matt, Mike, and several members of the team worked together for a number of years at Krux before it was acquired by Salesforce in 2016.
